Thankful heart

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I’ve been reflecting on all the things I am thankful for.  I even made this little garland to remind me to reflect on them.

God has blessed me, and my family, so much.  Here are some of the many things I am thankful for:

-The saving faith through Jesus that I have
-My wonderful husband who shows me more and more each day how much he loves me. I’m the luckiest girl in the world.
-A family that loves each other, gets along with each other, and supports each other
-A job where I can (hopefully) positively affect the lives of 600 children a week
-My sweet dog who always wants to be by my side
-The adventures that each new day bring for the Ly family

Speaking of family, Dave and I babysat our precious nephew today.  I am so thankful that my sister lives close by so that we can watch him grow up.

He’s now 6 months old and is mobile! He doesn’t technically crawl yet, he just does a little army-crawl-on-my-hands-and-knees-till-I-get-there movement.  It’s so precious!  He loves to knock down block towers that are set up in front of him.

He also discovered his new love for Lily (our dog).  It was so sweet to watch his face light up when she came in the room.  Here are a series of photos of them.  Some are blurry because they wouldn’t stop squirming around.  I think babies and dogs are the hardest things to photograph, and I had them both in one shot.

The stare down.  Are you friend or foe?

Definitely friend!
Can I play with your paw?

More kisses! {Sorry Rachel and Alan!}

Here is a video of then first interacting. Priceless.

Despite a few “diaper situations” we had a blast watching him.

On a side note: Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, you know what that means…Christmas is right around the corner after that!

Stay tuned for some Christmas crafting I’ve been doing a la dollar store.  It’s amazing what you can put together for such a small amount of cash.
